Manners?

Every time someone posts a photo online of some food they've made, or mentions that they're going to cook something there is always somebody in the comments who'll post "Recipe?" Just that. One word.

Is this how we ask for things now? No " Can I have?" or "Do you have?". No please or thank you. Are people going into a shop, marching up to the counter and saying "Milk?" Are they going into a pub, walking straight up to the bar and saying "Beer?" Barking out a single word and expecting to be served with whatever it is they want.

Or is it only online where all manners and politesse have been abandoned in favour of toddler-speak? I always want to reply with "Manners?" but I don't because that would be rude.
