The M64 from ModRetro launches July 28th

The M64 is almost here. Announced a while back, ModRetro is going from their popular Chromatic, a Gameboy player, to consoles. The M64 plays all of you Nintendo 64 games, and aims to publish a couple of new ones along the way. Check out the announcement below, and get your own before they're gone – at only $229, it's a steal.

All M64 products launch and ship on July 28th, 2026.​

What

The M64 console, M64 Pro Controller, and our first 4 launch titles are all available for purchase on July 28th. We start shipping the same day. We’re kicking off our games roster with 4 titles: Extreme-G: Turbo Fusion, Xeno Crisis, Xibalba 64, and Buck Bumble.

Price

$229.99 USD. Additional controllers are priced at $89.99, and games prices will vary.

Compatibility

The M64 is compatible with original Nintendo 64® controllers and cartridges, the NSO N64 controller, the 8Bit-Do controller, new Hyperkin Premium Captain Controllers* and Retro Fighters Controllers (both releasing Summer 2026), and of course, our own M64 Pro Controller.

*We will also be selling the Hyperkin Premium Captain Controller ($29.99, wired) on our website at launch. These are color-matched to M64, and a lower-cost option for those in need of extra controllers.
