Daggerheart is seeing new third-party content in the form of Demonheart: The Vile Codex from Dream Realm Storytellers: > Dream Realm Storytellers (DRS), known for their immersive 5E worlds (Svilland, Bloodpunk, Corpus Collection, and Silverplate) are excited to announce their newest project, Demonheart - The Vile Codex for Daggerheart™ is live now on Kickstarter. > > Demonheart is a 3-book codex with over 500 pages, a new class, 7 new domains, 66 new subclasses, a Hellish setting, tons of goodies including a tarot deck and demon plushie, and is the first major adventure for Daggerheart™. > > This project marks DRS’ first descent into Daggerheart™, a system originally created by Critical Role. It will include the first major adventure ever written for the Daggerheart™ system, and embraces an edgy, unflinching plunge into a biblical Hell that is very dark, and very not-safe-for-work. > Players descend into a brutal infernal metropolis of torture, execution gardens, and endless chains, taking on the roles of the damned themselves. With subclasses inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins and a new Sin Domain mechanic, Demonheart challenges players to face demonic legions and terrifying tyrants as they ascend the ladders of damnation. > > “This is not a safe story,” says the DRS creative team. “It’s an exploration of a raw, bloody world. Demonheart is about finding a path forward in the darkest possible world, and asking what it costs to take that path. Beware and despair.” > > Demonheart embraces themes of corruption and damnation, pushing players toward uncomfortable, high-stakes choices. It will include unusual mechanics, like instructions for turning player characters into demons, for example. Centered on narrative play, Demonheart’s story evolves through the choices players make. Players actively shape the tone of the game by building Hope or inviting Fear, turning every roll into a meaningful story.
