Tabletop coverage on GamingTrend is about to take a big new leap with the launch of our new, dedicated tabletop YouTube channel, and you are the first people we are telling:
GAMINGTREND TabletopThe tabletop segment of longest running independent gaming and gaming culture site on the web. We are a collective of gaming and game culture enthusiasts united by our love of this hobby and fueled by a desire to share the joy of gaming with others. GAMINGTREND- by humans, for humans. Be sure to visit our Discord -- join in the conversation: https://discord.gg/xg2EQgu6xvYouTube
Don’t worry, tabletop is staying put on the website! We just felt it was time to take our video content to the next level and the opportunities having our own channel affords us were just too good to pass up. Not only will we continue to bring you all of the great previews, interviews, and convention coverage we’ve become known for (still by humans for humans, btw), we’ve got a lot more new programming we’re lining up- unboxings will be back, more video reviews to go with the write-ups on gamingtrend.com, and extensive coverage of your favorite games like D&D, Magic The Gathering, and more. Mark Streed is just getting started with his excellent previews, and he’s also agreed to join Sean Brown and myself as a third cohost on our podcast, Tabletop Throwdown! As for all the great content we posted on the main GamingTrend channel, that will all be brought over, some of it even a little remastered. There might even be some older content that we just never posted before in the mix, we’re going through the archive right now.
So why are we telling you now? Why are we sending you to a Youtube channel with no videos yet? Well, consider this something like a sign-up page to be notified of a Kickstarter campaign you are excited about. If you subscribe now, you’ll be more likely to see all the great new content we’re going to start rolling out on June first. And to sweeten the pot a bit, just after launch we will draw a winner from the pre-launch subscribers to recieve this lovely set of Iron Clays 200 (from my personal collection):
Don't worry, I have a bigger set than this now :)
But you know what? I don’t think that’s enough! How about this: for every 5o people who subscribe before we post a single video, I will add another prize to be drawn for. It might be a game, or some Magic cards, or some dice- we have a whole trove of cool stuff we’ve been accumulating over the years. As we reach each increment of 50 I will post what we are adding to the prize pool on the Youtube Channel. The more subscriptions we get, the more prizes we throw into the pool, the more people who win something!
One more thing: if you are reading this newsletter right now, that means you already have a subscription to our website- Thank you! If you also subscribe to our new Youtube channel you will get an additional entry for all of the giveaway drawings (only one prize per person, however). That’s an entry for subscribing on Youtube, and a second entry for already being subscribed to our site!
Feel free to share the link and help us get as many subscribers as we can before the big day! We’ll just keep adding prizes the more that sign up!
Cheers, —MIKE D
