Maybe day-one games should come off Game Pass

Oh, look! A wild positive news story appeared this week! Xbox—let me say this slowly— Cut. The. Price. Of. Game. Pass. Starting next renewal date, it will be $23 in the US. That feels much better, but it comes with an unavoidable caveat: Call of Duty will be removed from Game Pass as a day-one entry, appearing “around a year later.”

This has to be good news, right? As the old Facebook relationship status said: it’s complicated.
