"textContent": "If you haven't been, Adepticon is a wonderful time. From product announcements, paint competitions, and endless halls of gaming, it's a perfect microcosm for the miniature painting hobby. We took some time to catch up with one of our favorite people in the industry, Will Shick, the _VP of Creative Development and Strategy_ for Atomic Mass Games, took time to sit with us and give us some detailed answers about what's coming for Marvel Crisis Protocol, Star Wars: Legion, and Star Wars: Shatterpoint. This is the last of our posts, and it dives into Star Wars: Shatterpoint!\n\nRead about Star Wars: Legion\n\nRead about Marvel Crisis Protocol\n\n* * *\n\nWith the sequel trilogy getting some love and a rebalance of many cards, Shatterpoint still looks to be greatly supported.\n\n**GT: With the introduction of the sequel trilogy, what's left? Will we get Gungans? The Acolyte? Perhaps characters from the expanded universe?**\n\nWS: Even though we’ve covered every era of the Skywalker saga with the arrival of the Sequel Trilogy characters, there is still so much of the Star Wars Galaxy left to explore. And that’s before you even consider Legends content. I would love to explore more of the New Republic as Mandalorians are always cool. And there are still plenty of characters from the Clone Wars that I’ve been dreaming of since we first started working on the game (looking at you Pong Krell). We did show off a first look at some Episode I Phantom Menace sculpts, so I wouldn’t count out a gungan appearance sometime in the future as well.\n\n**GT: How have you been dealing with the fan response to the news to designate Shatterpoint as a \"specialist game\"?**\n\nWS: I think for the most part the community was very open and understanding to the announcement. We’ve just continued to try and provide as much information and transparency as possible while also understanding that the actions we take as we move forward will go much further to answering the understandable questions and concerns the community has. I’m looking forward to Adepticon 2027 where hopefully we will be able to fully put any remaining player concerns to rest.\n\n**GT: How will you ease current fan's fears about them switching SP as a mainline game?**\n\nWS: As mentioned above, I think besides continuing to be as open and transparent as possible in answering players' questions or concerns, the biggest way to ease those concerns will be through our consistency and actions in proving we remain committed to maintaining and growing the game. Just at a slower and more sustainable pace than the last couple of years, where we were able to crank out a lot of content, in anticipation of a return to a more stable output while Legion was ramping down in preparation for its 2nd edition relaunch.\n\n**GT: Do you see Shatterpoint being more for competitive players or for narrative players going forward? Key Operations, Legendary Encounters, and storyline events seem to be where the game shines.**\n\nWS: I hope that Shatterpoint, just like all the games we work on, will continue to be the best it can be for all types of players. Whether you prefer to challenge your skills through competition or create narrative experiences through Key Operations or Legendary Encounters. We devote a lot of time and effort into creating multiple game modes for all our games because we want to provide as many ways to enjoy and experience the games as there are different players out there. As long as we do the work to keep the gameplay well balanced and accessible, we know that no matter how you prefer to play the game is certain to deliver the great experience and fun we want it to.\n\n**GT: If Alliances is a hit, will Shatterpoint or another Star Wars game be available in the format?**\n\nWS: Since the general community had the chance to demo Alliances at Adepticon we have certainly seen a lot of interest about a similar experience for Star Wars. I for one would certainly love to get the opportunity to explore Star Wars miniatures and the Star Wars Galaxy in that way.\n\nAdeptiCon 2026 Roadmap – STAR WARS: Shatterpoint - atomicmassgamesCheck out our STAR WARS: Shatterpoint Roadmap presentation from AdeptiCon!
