"textContent": "# 🗺️ Entry 1 — Setting up JOSM & Plugins\n\n**Mapping Banjë, Albania**\n\nI started mapping the Banjë region in Albania by setting up my editing environment in JOSM.\n\n## ⚙️ Setup\n\nI configured JOSM with a set of plugins to support structured mapping and validation:\n\n * **utilsplugin2** – general productivity tools\n * **reltoolbox** – relation and multipolygon editing\n * **waydownloader** – working with connected geometries\n * **merge-overlap** – cleaning overlapping features\n * **Relation Validation Plugin** – checking data consistency\n * **FastDraw** – faster geometry digitizing\n\n\n\nI also explored additional plugins like contour-related tools for terrain-based mapping.\n\n## 🗺️ Mapping Context\n\nThe focus area is **Banjë (central Albania)** — a landscape with: - Complex terrain (valleys, rivers, slopes)\n- Mixed land use (forests, agriculture, settlements)\n- Incomplete or inconsistent OSM coverage\n\n## 🌱 Initial Observations\n\n * Landuse classification is often fragmented or overlapping\n * Boundaries between forest, farmland, and settlements are not always clear\n * Many features require **clean multipolygon structures**\n * Validation tools already highlight conflicts in relations\n\n\n\n## 🎯 Next Steps\n\n * Clean and structure landuse polygons (forest, farmland, residential)\n * Resolve relation conflicts and validation errors\n * Improve consistency of tagging using presets\n * Start refining settlement structures and road connectivity\n\n",
