"textContent": "Just finished playing _The Operator_ by Bureau 81, a puzzle game which casts you as an _operator_ working for the FDI.\n\nIt was a pleasant way to spend a few hours, but I’ve had it on my Steam wish list for so long that once I finally played it, I was a little disappointed. It’s short, the puzzles are all simple, and there isn’t much detecting, deducting or inferring to be done. I’m not actually sure you can make a mistake, it’s very much on rails.\n\nI didn’t like some UI choices, like not being able to skip through reeeaally slow dialogue. Also, I hate being hampered by tutorials, or the game itself. If I have a hunch, I’d like it to pay-off when I do the thing, not when I do the thing once the game has told me I’m allowed to do the thing. Still, a nice, chill game to play when not feeling so good.",
