So, if you are an owner, user, or fan of these two popular smartphone gimbals, here’s what you need to know.\n\n* * *\n\n### DJI to End Support for These Smartphone Gimbals\n\n\n\n\nAgain, this shouldn’t really be devastating news for too many folks, as both of these smartphone gimbals have been out for several years now, with both technically ending production of new models back in 2021.\n\nStill, DJI makes a good product, and it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that those who bought these smartphone gimbals many years ago could very well still be getting good use out of them. And, to be fair, ending support for a product doesn’t mean you have to throw it away right away.\n\nThis just means the company will stop providing regular product maintenance, technical support, or customer service. If it works for you for several more years, then great.\n\n### Support to End in August 2026\n\n\n\n\nThe Chinese-based company has announced that support for both products will end in August this year. The company also offers other options for users or fans of these smartphone gimbals, with DJI offering several options ranging from the Osmo Mobile 8 to the brand-new Osmo Mobile 8P.\n\nThe Osmo Mobile 7P is also proving quite popular and is currently retailing for just $99, making it a nice replacement option for anyone interested in not missing a beat during this transition.\n\nOverall, this is just the cycle of life for products in the film and video space.
