"textContent": "\n\n\n\nWhile DJI might be busy fighting its drone ban in the United States (and encouraging drone customers and fans to speak up on its behalf), the company is still putting out new products.\n\nLike, they’re putting out a lot of new products, as this new Osmo Mobile 8P smartphone gimbal is a follow-up to the previous Osmo Mobile 8, which was released less than a year ago.\n\nLet’s take a look at this new DJI Osmo Mobile 8P, which was just revealed and is set to feature several improvements, most notably a new detachable wireless touchscreen remote that looks pretty innovative and fun.\n\n* * *\n\n### The DJI Osmo Mobile 8P\n\n\n\n\nFollowing up on the previous Osmo Mobile 8, this new version of the company’s popular smartphone gimbal adds innovative, intuitive features. The big news here is that this Osmo Mobile 8P will help shooters unlock pro framing with a detachable screen remote.\n\nThis wireless touchscreen remote is called the “Osmo FrameTap,” and it honestly looks like one of the most innovative new features built into any gimbal (smartphone or gimbal) in quite some time. This detachable screen remote lets users capture video even when no one else is nearby to hit the record button.\n\nThe other big news here is that the Osmo Mobile 8P is simply getting better and smarter, with notable subject-tracking improvements thanks to its ActiveTrack 8.0, which lets users lock onto any object via Module 2. The stabilization should be improved as well, and the gimbal will now feature 10-hour battery life and phone charging.\n\n### Price and Availability\n\n\n\n\nOverall, this looks to be a solid improvement over the previous Osmo Mobile 8, which is likely here mostly to show off the detachable screen remote. The Osmo Mobile 8P will also allow for direct phone connection for native tracking and feature a built-in extension rod and tripod for diverse shooting types.\n\nAs we’ve seen with previous DJI product announcements,, though, this one is being billed as a “globally” launch, but we’ll have to wait and see if and when it’s available in the US. So hang tight for now, but if you’d like more info, you can find it on the company’s website here.",
