Designed to be an ideal 1st AC monitor set to provide on-set 4K monitoring, or for use on the DIT cart, the Atomos Sumo PRO-19 4K HDR Monitor-Recorder-Switcher can deliver HDR in real time, with on-the-fly log-to-HDR and PQ (Perceptual Quantizer)/HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) playback.

This is a helpful monitoring tool that will include many familiar features, such as waveform, focus peaking, EL Zone false color, RGB parade, vectorscope, and more, on the calibrated screen. Plus, beyond just monitoring, with 8K, 6K, 4K, UHD, 2K, and 1080p raw recording, users will be able to generate instant dailies to readily available SSD media.

Live Quad Switching and 5-Channel Recording

As a larger 19-inch panel option, focus pullers should have ample support and access to a high-quality HD image, with built-in focus assist tools such as peaking and 2:1/1:1 zoom. It can also be used as a studio monitor, thanks to its 10-stop dynamic range and 10-bit processing.

As far as switching goes, Atomos reports that the Sumo PRO-19 will be able to provide SDI quad switching and ISO recording, which should further allow crews to be able to record and switch up to four ISO channels in resolutions up to 8K30, as well as record the program.
