Announced ahead of NAB 2026, kicking off next week in Las Vegas, Maxon has shared some pretty significant news regarding its professional creative toolsets.

The big news here is that the company is debuting Cinema 4D on iPad, the return of the Autograph motion graphics applications, and the expansion of Maxon tools to Windows on Arm (WoA) tablet devices.

All set to be checkable at this year’s NAB conference, we have a sneak peek at what these new expansions and programs will look like. Check them out below.

Cinema 4D for iPad

Taking a cue from Apple's expansion of Final Cut Pro to iPad, Maxon’s 3D creation is going mobile: the company is set to unveil the beta of Cinema 4D for iPad, a move that marks the first time such a professional 3D tool will be available on a mobile platform.

“Cinema 4D has long been recognized for its accessibility and ease of learning within the professional 3D space. Bringing these capabilities to iPad extends that philosophy, making 3D creation more approachable for emerging artists while remaining compatible with modern production pipelines.” - Maxon.

This new version of Cinema 4D for iPad will focus on touch workflows, delivering core 3D modeling and design capabilities in a mobile-first interface that is easier and more streamlined to use for creatives, whether on the go or in their home offices or studios.

Maxon further notes that this iPad version will work as a complementary option to the desktop experience and will allow users to explore ideas on the go.

Autograph Returns

Along with the news of Cinema 4D coming to iPad, Maxon has also announced that it is bringing back Autograph, the company’s modern motion graphics and compositing application, as a free download for individuals for all core features.

Ideally suited for motion designers, 2D/3D artists, content creators, and compositors, Autograph is a nice option for those looking to bring together 2D animation, compositing, and 3D capabilities in a unified environment optimized for speed and flexibility.

Some of the key features for this Autograph return will include a native Cloner system for dynamic, iterative animations and further enablement for designers to build complex motion graphics more efficiently, as part of today’s multi-platform content landscape.

Windows on Arm and Other Updates

Finally, Maxon has also announced that it is bringing its complete ecosystem to next-generation Windows on Arm-powered hardware. This expansion will include access to Dell’s tablet lineup, Microsoft Surface Pro (Snapdragon X Elite), and other compatible tablets and desktop systems.

This also means that ZBrush, Cinema 4D, and Red Giant tools will all now be available within Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects on Windows on Arm-powered devices. And Redshift will now also be supported on Windows on Arm, with CPU rendering capabilities.

Maxon has also rolled out a full slate of production updates as part of its Spring 2026 Maxon One Ecosystem release and plans to have all these new expansions and updates available to check out at its NAB 2026 booth. You can find more info here.
