"textContent": "\n\n\n\nNAB 2026 is officially here (kind of) as Blackmagic Design has begun to share its slate of new products and updates. As they have in years past, Blackmagic Design is not waiting until the showroom floors open at the Las Vegas Convention Center; the company has some big news ready to go now.\n\nThe first big headline here is the announcement of the new Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive 100G, the world’s first immersive cinema camera for live production. Set to feature 100G Ethernet, dual 8Kx8K RGBW sensors, and 16 stops of dynamic range, there’s a lot to explore with this mega-camera announcement.\n\nLet’s dive in.\n\n* * *\n\n### Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive 100G Announced\n\n\n\n\nSet to be the world’s first immersive cinema camera designed for live production with Apple Immersive Video, this new Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive 100G is going to be a beast, to say the least.\n\n> “Live immersive production is here, and it’s extraordinary. URSA Cine Immersive 100G makes it possible, and the images from this camera are just incredible to watch. It truly feels like you’ve been transported to the middle of the action. From sports to concerts, this opens up an entirely new world in live production!” - Grant Petty, Blackmagic Design CEO.\n\nSet to feature dual 8Kx8K RGBW sensors with 16 stops of dynamic range, the URSA Cine Immersive 100G will be able to utilize its 100G Ethernet to deliver the bandwidth needed to output live immersive video for the first time. A pretty significant technological breakthrough that will likely have a lot to say about the future of immersive format video in general.\n\n### 8K x 8K Per Eye\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll have a lot more to explore regarding this new immersive live production camera here soon, but some of the more eye-catching specs shared so far focus on the new sensors designed for incredible 8K x 8K images per eye.\n\nThe camera will use the same RGBW sensor design as the URSA Cine, with a new dual-sensor layout featuring larger photosites and delivering an impressive 16 stops of dynamic range.\n\nThis unique RGBW architecture, which we’ve covered before, will provide equal amounts of red, green, and blue pixels for incredible color super sampling. Overall, this means the camera will be optimized to deliver incredibly rich colors and offer insane specs for image quality and flexibility, even at the high frame rates live immersive video requires.\n\n### Price and Availability\n\n\n\n\nAs mentioned above, we’ll have more to explore regarding this new Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive 100G here soon, but for now—if you’re intrigued— here are the specs:\n\n * Dual custom lenses for shooting Apple Immersive Video for Apple Vision Pro.\n * Dual 8K x 8K sensors for stereoscopic 3D immersive image capture.\n * Massive 16 stops of dynamic range.\n * 100G Ethernet for SMPTE-2110-22 live video output\n * Lightweight, robust camera body with industry standard connections.\n * Generation 6 Color Science with new DaVinci Wide Gamut film curve.\n * Each sensor supports 90 fps at 8K x 8K stereo captured to a single Blackmagic RAW file or a single ProRes 2110-22 stream.\n * Includes high performance Blackmagic Media Module 8TB for recording.\n * High speed Wi-Fi, 100G Ethernet or mobile data for network connections.\n * Includes DaVinci Resolve Studio for post production.\n\n\n\nAs for pricing, the Blackmagic Design URSA Cine Immersive 100G will be available in Q3 for US$26,495, excluding local duties and taxes. You can find more info here.\n\n****\n\nCheck out more of our NAB 2026 coverage!",
