"textContent": "\n\n\n\nBlackmagic Design is kicking off NAB 2026 with a bang, unveiling a host of new cameras and updates. Outside of giant new immersive cinema cameras for immersive live production, the company has also rolled out its latest update for DaVinci Resolve.\n\nDaVinci Resolve 21 is set to add hundreds of features, including new AI tools such as IntelliSearch for fast content searching and CineFocus for focal-point adjustment. There’s also new motion graphic effects, Fairlight folder tracks, and… what’s this? A new Photo page for still images?\n\n* * *\n\n### DaVinci Resolve 21 Update\n\n\n\n\nA week before the masses make their way to Las Vegas for NAB 2026, Blackmagic Design has decided to spill the beans early on some of their biggest news and updates. DaVinci Resolve 21, introduced now, is pretty significant, as it might be one of the biggest updates for the NLE ever.\n\nThe big news here, which we’ll explore in more depth over the coming weeks and months, is that the new update is set to add hundreds of features, including new AI tools. There are also over 100 new motion graphic effects, 50 new features, and hundreds of quality-of-life improvements.\n\nSome of the most notable tools here, off the bat, are the IntelliSearch feature for fast content searching, the CineFocus tool for focal point adjustment, and tools for facial refinement and more. The cut and edit pages have also received improved keyframing and greater support for graphic formats.\n\nEven Fusion gets updates that include the Krokodove toolset with over 70 new graphics, and Fairlight’s folder function has been simplified for better audio track management.\n\n### DaVinci Resolve Photo Page\n\n\n\n\nNot to be lost in the hubbub, here is the introduction of a new Photo page in DaVinci Resolve, set to bring the NLE’s most advanced color tools to still photos for colorists and photographers. As far as industry news goes, this is pretty major as it signals that Blackmagic Design is coming more directly for Adobe as a possible challenger to Photoshop.\n\nBlackmagic Design has shared that its post-production workflow will now fully integrate photo image editing, as this new Photo page will let users import and manage photographs and integrate with the color page for node-based grading.\n\nAs said before, we’ll have more to share here soon, but for now, if you’d like more info, you can find all the details on DaVinci Resolve 21 on the company’s website here.\n\n****\n\nCheck out more of our NAB 2026 coverage!",
