Here’s everything you need to know about the new iPhone 17e.\n\n* * *\n\n### Apple Introduces iPhone 17e\n\n\n\n\nAnnounced today as a new iPhone model that is more powerful and more affordable, the 17e features the company’s latest generation A19 chip, which should boost performance in pretty much everything that the iPhone offers.\n\n> “iPhone 17e combines powerful performance and features our users love at an exceptional value, making it a compelling option for customers looking to upgrade to the iPhone 17 family. The camera will also enable an optical-quality 2x Telephoto option, which will make it feel like you’ll have two cameras in one.\n\n### An Advanced Camera System\n\n\n\n\nWhat’s interesting about this 48MP Fusion camera and its telephoto capabilities is that it will let smartphone content creators shoot sharp photos at up to 48MP resolution, or capture in the 24MP default for incredible image quality at a file size ideal for storing and sharing.\n\nFor video in particular, the iPhone 17e will be able to record in 4K with Dolby Vision up to 60 fps. The iPhone 17e will also offer the ability to record video in Spatial Audio for immersive listening with AirPods or Apple Vision Pro, as well as enable more ways for creators to edit video sound with Apple’s Audio Mix tool.\n\nApple reports that wind noise will be reduced and that the company has tasked its powerful machine learning algorithms with automatically reducing all unwanted noises to make the 17e’s audio recording better overall.\n\n### Price and Availability\n\n\n\n\nThe new iPhone 17e is set to be available for pre-order starting at 6:15 a.m. PT on March 4th, with regular purchase starting on March 11th.\n\nThe iPhone 17e will come in three color options with matte finish, including black, white, and soft pink, and will see pricing start at $599 for a 256GB storage option.",
