The recent recipient of a Scientific and Engineering Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the ARRI TRINITY 2 camera stabilizer has proven to be a popular and well-acclaimed high-end option for cinematographers ever since the system was first introduced back in 2022.

However, things are about to kick up a notch as ARRI has announced a new Software Update Package (SUP 4.0) for the TRINITY 2 and the TRINITY 2 Pan Axis Module that is set to add new user modes, horizontal post panning, zoom sync, and other improvements.

Here’s what you need to know.

Along with news of this software update, ARRI has also put out a nice video feature that goes over everything new with the TRINITY 2 and provides an explanation of some of the new modes and features. The big news here is that the TRINITY is getting five new User Modes for specific shooting modes, including a mode that will enable panning even when the post is nearly horizontal.

ARRI TRINITY 2 users will also find Zoom Sync, PID Auto Tune, a faster startup, a new screen lock, improved drop mode, and more stable RF-2400 pairing upgrades, as well as some of your general performance improvements and bug fixes.
