HOVERAir Rolls Out Firmware Updates for X1 PRO and PROMAX With Smoother Tracking and New Features

While AI might be the news of the day today—and likely every day moving forward—for those of us still interested in—you know—shooting video and creating content ourselves, there are plenty of fun options available.

The HOVERAir X1 PRO and X1 PROMAX are two drones that aren’t the highest-end options, but are still quite capable—and certainly fun—to fly around and shoot video and record content with. A new firmware update is out for each, adding some new features and functions.

HOVERAir Firmware Updates

So, the big news for each firmware update here is that both models are set to get improved smoothness with their tracking performances when recording in the Dolly Track mode. Both are also getting a new “Follow Position” option in their Ski Modes, which will allow users to select options for more angles when recording themselves going down a mountain—or whatever else you might come up with.

These updates are also adding some more optimizations for performance in these different tracking modes, as well as offering a few bug fixes and other performance optimizations.

Here’s the full list of everything new in each firmware update version for the two drones, as well as with the HOVERAir Beacon and the Hover X1 app.

X1 PRO / X1 PROMAX v8.3.8

1. Improved smoothness and the tracking performance of Dolly Track.

2. Added Follow Position in Ski Mode, allowing selection of Dolly Track or Back for more angles to capture your best moments.

3. Added Ski Environment options, allowing you to choose between Open Areas and Narrow Environments for different skiing scenarios.

4. Optimized the Back Follow Position performance in Ski Mode for better tracking.

5. Bug fixes and overall performance optimizations.

Beacon v3.0.7

1. Added Follow Position in Ski Mode, allowing selection of Dolly Track or Back.
