Curious About the New Antigravity AI Drone? You Can Win One in This Video Contest
In the wake of DJI’s effective drone ban in the US, there’s a giant hole to fill in the skies. While the verdict is still out on what new drones or companies might share in this DJI-sized hole, one of the top contenders is the Insta360-connected company Antigravit,y which r ecently launched its first A1 drone.
If you’re curious about this new Antigravity A1 and interested in getting your hands on one yourself, you can get one for free by entering this contest that the company is putting on with the YouTube travel filmmaker Sam Newton.
Users can enter either with footage they shoot themselves on an Antigravity A1 or with footage provided by the company for the contest. Here are the details below.
Antigravity A1 Drone Contest
As a new contest done in partnership between Antigravity and travel filmmaker Sam Newton, the contest is obviously in promotion of the new A1 drone, which we reviewed here. Powered by Insta360 algorithms, the A1 is an 8K 360 drone that uniquely uses its top and bottom lenses to stitch together a single 360-degree shot.
The A1 is piloted with included Vision FPV goggles and grip controller for the full futuristic, sci-fi approach. While not for everyone, it’s a fun and unique drone filmmaking experience which, again, could be one of the top options currently on the market to fill in gaps left by DJI (in the US at least).
How to Enter
If you’re interested in the contest, you can enter in a couple of ways. The first is to go out and shoot footage with your A1 drone if you’re already an owner. If you aren’t, you can download some 8K 360 footage shot with the A1, which the company is providing, and edit it as if you shot it. You can download the needed footage here.
Here are the full steps to enter, as outlined by Antigravity:
If you have A1 already, take to the skies and film anything you think is cool
Post your footage to social media using the "Antigravity Anthem" soundtrack (download here)
Make sure you use the hashtag #Flying360 and follow Antigravity when posting
The contest is set to end on February 16th. You can find more info on the rules, prizes, and other terms and conditions on Antigravity’s website here.
