What Super Bowl Trailers Are We Getting in 2026?
Look, my hometown Philadelphia Eagles won't be in the big game this year, so I'll be watching and rooting for them in the movie trailers we'll see this Sunday.
We all know that movie trailers are often the real MVP of Super Bowl Sunday, and this year’s lineup for Super Bowl LX is looking like a blockbuster event in its own right.
Early reports are that NBC is seeking between $7 million and $10 million for a 30-second spot, so the studios showing up are bringing their absolute heaviest hitters.
But what movie trailers do we expect to see between Budweiser commercials?
I made a list of ones I think we're going to get.
Let's dive in.

The Heavy Hitters
The Mandalorian and Grogu
****This is the big one. We've seen this trailer already, but maybe there's a new one with more of a story. This will be the first theatrical Star Wars film since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker. After three seasons on Disney+, Mando and his tiny green apprentice are making the jump to the big screen on May 22, 2026. Expect the trailer to give us a better sense of how the New Republic is utilizing our favorite bounty hunter to hunt down those remaining Imperial warlords.
Disclosure Day
****We also already have atrailer for this one, but any time Steven Spielberg makes a movie, the world pays attention. Disclosure Day is being billed as an alien invasion thriller, and given Spielberg’s history with the genre (Close Encounters , War of the Worlds), this is easily one of the most anticipated original films of the year and a movie I can't wait to see opening weekend.
Michael
****Definitely one of the most controversial movies of the year. Lionsgate is returning to the Super Bowl for the first time in a decade to promote the Michael Jackson biopic. And yes, the pedo stuff will be addressed. This is directed by Antoine Fuqua and stars Jaafar Jackson. The film has massive box office potential, and a Super Bowl spot is the perfect place to showcase the scale of the production.
Animated Powerhouses
Universal and Illumination are essentially owning the family-friendly block of the night with two massive sequels that will probably have trailers.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
****Following the billion-dollar success of the first film, the sequel looks to take things cosmic. Early buzz suggests Benny Safdie will voice Bowser Jr., with Brie Larson potentially joining as Rosalina.
Minions 3
****The yellow chaos agents are back. Love them or hate them, they are a marketing juggernaut, and a Super Bowl spot ensures every kid (and parent) knows they’re returning this summer.
Genre Favourites
Scream 7
****I love having a big slasher coming out, and the Scream series always delivers. Paramount has already dropped the Scream 7 spot online to get ahead of the noise. With the film opening later this month (February 27), this is the final marketing push to get fans back into theaters for Ghostface’s latest rampage.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow
****While Warner Bros. is largely sitting out the main game, DC Studios is getting creative with its "synergy." They’ll be teasing Supergirl during the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet. It’s a clever move, especially since the film features Krypto the Superdog. I love seeing this universe expand, and I hope Netflix keeps it when they take over.
The "Maybes"
There's been a lot of speculation that we'll get potential looks at Toy Story 5 __ and Pixar's original film Hoppers , which comes out in March.
I kind of thought we'd get an Avengers: Doomsday trailer, but they seem to be putting them out online only.
Summing It All Up
Whether you're rooting for the Seahawks, the Patriots, or just vibing with all the expensive commercials, hopefully, you have fun with the movie trailers and see some stuff you'll go to the theater to support.
Let me know what excites you most in the comments.
