"textContent": "**NASHVILLE, TN –** On Friday, Major League Soccer announced the first eleven players named to the 2026 MLS All-Star roster, selected through a combined vote from players, media, and fans.\n\nNashville SC goalkeeper **Brian Schwake** , defender **Andy Nájar** , and midfielder **Hany Mukhtar** were all named to the All-Star roster, who will take on a team of All-Star's from Mexico's Liga MX in Charlotte, North Carolina, on July 29.\n\n__Photo courtesy MLS__\n\nNashville's three selections are the most in MLS. The Boys In Gold lead the Supporters' Shield table heading into the World Cup break with 33 points from their first 14 matches. Only two teams in MLS history have ever bettered that start.\n\nSchwake earns his first All-Star selection in his first season as Nashville's full-time starter. Through 22 matches in all competitions, he's allowed just 14 goals, and has given up just 11 in MLS play. He's tied already for the second-most clean sheets in a single Nashville season with 11, just two behind **Joe Willis** 's record.\n\nBrian Schwake makes history as Nashville SC starting goalkeeperThe young shot-stopper is unbeaten in his first 13 starts for the ’YotesSixOneFive SoccerBen Wright\n\nAndy Nájar's selection is his second in as many seasons with Nashville. The right back earned plaudits last season with a stellar three goal, 10 assist performance. So far in 2026, he's maintained that pace, logging five assists in 19 appearances and continuing to be a vital piece of Nashville's ball progression engine.\n\nAndy Nájar named to 2025 MLS All-Star teamThe first-year Nashville SC player is tied for the most goal contributions among MLS fullbacksSixOneFive SoccerBen Wright\n\nMukhtar's selection is his fifth-consecutive trip to the All-Star game. Now wearing the captain's armband full-time for Nashville, the 31-year-old has seven goals and five assists in 21 matches, including the historic game-winner at the Azteca against Club América. Mukhtar's hat-trick against Los Angeles FC saw him break 100 goals in a Nashville shirt, the most in club history by a sizeable margin.\n\nHany Mukhtar scores 100th goal of Nashville SC careerNashville’s captain hits a century with stunning free kick against LAFCSixOneFive SoccerBen Wright\n\nAn additional 13 players will be selected by All-Star and Charlotte FC head coach **Dean Smith** , while MLS Commissioner **Don Garber** will make two picks.\n\nNashville SC will return to action on Friday, July 17, taking on Atlanta United at Geodis Park as MLS resumes its schedule following the 2026 FIFA World Cup.",
