Making the Impossible Possible

I find myself waiting on the blinking square cursor of the Claude Code TUI thinking “go faster,” even though I know it’s already going so much faster than I would have been able to go myself a few months ago. Since starting development with AI agents I feel there is so much more to do than there was before. There was just as much to be done when I was hand-coding every angle bracket and semicolon, but things feel different now, they feel like so much more is possible, that there’s much, much more to do. Things that used to take weeks or months now take days, but the real win is that things that used to take so long I didn’t even consider doing them are now doable. As an independent developer this feeling that the impossible is now possible is inspiring me to work harder and make the work that I do even more perfect than before. I use AI, but not to turn out slop. AI, for me, offers a way to do better work on bigger projects than I would be capable of without it.
