"textContent": "Our local Warhammer has started encouraging us to not just assemble our free minis of the month, but to get them painted within the month. Josh has built a couple of pieces of scenery – one for 40k, one for Age of Sigmar – and, once your free mini is painted, you bring it in, get it photographed, and it goes on their socials.\n\nToday was mini of the month day, and so I took the normal gaggle of Youngest’s year six Warhammer fiends with us to build their slightly un-inspiring push fit model. But I also too my little servitor dude from last month, all nicely painted up. And I took my good camera, too.\n\nOut of the camera the photos looked a bit like this:\n\nA workaday miniature photo.\n\nBut I’ve been a hobby (and occasionally semi-professional) photographer for decades now, and I wasn’t going to be happy with that. You can see the moody, grimdark results at the top of the page.\n\nWhaddya think?",
