"textContent": "We may be relatively new to Warhammer (or, in my case, newly returned), but we’re already beginning to build up something of a pile of shame. That needs to be addressed this year. Our confidence as painters is growing, so the pace is beginning to pick up.\n\nBut what we _really_ need is an incentive. Some sort of challenge.\n\nWait… what’s this…?\n\n> Our first challenge is one with a lofty goal – the **Million Miniatures Challenge**. It’s exactly how it sounds, we want to see one million painted Warhammer miniatures. Taking part is simple: head down to your local Warhammer store from the 17th of January and pledge to paint 25+, 50+, or 100+ miniatures by the 9th of May. Faction, game system, and size of miniatures doesn’t matter, it’s just how many you can paint.\n\nWell, that’s a kind of motivation. But if only there was some kind of reward.\n\n> As you hit your milestones, you’ll be awarded with a series of cool gifts at the Million Miniature celebration event on Saturday 9th May. You’ll get a One Million Miniatures pin badge for 25+ miniatures, a purity seal water pot stand for 50+, and a paint brush tin for 100+.\n\nOh, OK.\n\nThe first two, I can take or leave. But the brush case is _really_ nice. And Youngest _really_ wants it. So, I guess I’m doing 100 miniatures, then. Wish me luc… No. This doesn’t require luck. This requires planning and organisation. This requires a schedule. And that means…\n\n… a spreadsheet.\n\nOur local Warhammer store requires some evidence of unpainted miniatures before we get going, so some serious pile of shame photography was in order:\n\nYoungest’s target miniatures\n\nDad’s rather ambitious target\n\nWe registered with the store, and got to work.\n\nStarting big!",
