A man was arrested on manslaughter and arson charges for the fire (WBNG)\n\nThe original emergency shelter in Vestal has shut down as all displaced residents have now been placed in housing or other temporary accommodations, but a drop in resource center will remain open (WBNG). The fate of the remaining Knights Inn buildings, which had reported safety violations prior to the fire, is unclear (NC34).\n\nProtesters set up an encampment outside of Downtown Binghamton government buildings in response to poor conditions and response to the local homelessness crisis (NC34).\n\n### 🗳️Primary Results\n\nDan Norton, backed by outgoing Assemblywoman Lupardo and State Sen.
