Enjoy!\n\n## ‼️Must-Reads\n\n### 🗳️The Battle of the Dans for Lupardo's Seat\n\nIt's a Dan on Dan battle in the Democratic primary for the 123rd Assembly seat after longtime rep Donna Lupardo announced that she will not be seeking re-election (Press & Sun).\n\nDan Norton is a lawyer with Hinman, Howard & Kattel, who says he is focused on increasing housing opportunities and reining in NYSEG bills, while supporting universal childcare and statewide universal healthcare. He is backed by many in the local democratic establishment, such as Lupardo, County Executive Jason Garnar and State Sen. Lea Webb.\n\nDan Livingston, a former Binghamton City Council member, wants to increase taxes on the top 2% of earners and \"return these ill-gotten gains to the public coffers,\" and make investments in affordability and improvements for working families. He is also a clean water advocate and wants greater dignity for immigrants. He is endorsed by Bernie Sanders and progressive groups like the local Sierra Club and Citizen Action.\n\nYou can see full interviews of the two with WBNG here.\n\nYou can see a list of endorsements for both candidates here from NC34\n\nEarly voting is live, and the primary election is on June 23.\n\nOther races, depending on your location, include the 19th congressional district Republican primary between State Sen. Peter Oberacker and Alex Portelli, where the winner will face Rep. Josh Riley in the fall, and the 23rd Congressional District Democratic primary between Aaron Gies and Kevin Stocker, where the winner will face rep. Nick Langworthy in the fall.\n\n\n### 🏃Local Athletes Win State Titles\n\nIt was a successful sports weekend, not just for the Knicks. Many high school athletes from the Binghamton area came to win at states (Press & Sun).\n\nRutgers-bound Milo Wilson of Binghamton won the Class A state title for the boys high jump (WBNG). Maine-Endwell's Wyatt Richardson took home the Class B boys 400 hurdles title (Fox40). Chenango Valley's Delaney Walters won the Class C girls title for high jump, 3rd overall and Mack Patterson, also of CV, won the Class C discus competition, followed in 2nd by Sidney's Michael Morrissey.\n\nIn other Section IV results, Corning-Painted Post's Cella McLaughlin took home the Class A girls title for the long jump, Lansing's Ava Kobylarz took home the Class C girls pole vault title, Oneonta's Cassidy Howard and Darren Rose won the Class C girls 100-meter dash and Class C boys triple jump, respectively and Tioga Central's Gavin Albrecht won the Class C girls high jump.\n\nThe Press & Sun has all of the finishing placement for Section 4 finishers here.\n\nIn Softball, Deposit/Hancock won the Class C championship again (NC34), while Maine-Endwell finished out in the Class A semifinals and Susquehanna Valley fell in Class AA semifinals (WBNG).\n\nIn Baseball, Waverly fell in the regional final (Fox4o)\n\n### This post is for subscribers only\n\nBecome a member to get access to all content\n\nSubscribe now",
