If you've been looking for ways to get engaged and share your thoughts, here are a few quick ways to start.\n\n### ❗🎨TONIGHT (& Tomorrow) – Broome + Tioga Arts & Culture Master Plan meetings\n\nBroome and Tioga Counties are hosting two**** in-person listening sessions to share information about the upcoming Broome and Tioga Arts and Culture Strategic Master Plan to gather feedback from the public.**** Each listening session will present the same material of interactive activities and group discussions.\n\nYou can attend **tonight** from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Roberson Museum at 30 Front St. in Binghamton. Tomorrow, at the same time, will take place at the Neighborhood Depot at 146 Central Ave in Owego.\n\nAccording to the organizers, \"the Arts and Culture Strategic Master Plan is a collaborative effort between Broome and Tioga Counties to create a unified vision for arts, culture, and creative expression across the counties and will build a strategic roadmap to celebrate the region’s cultural diversity, foster economic vitality, and enrich the community.\"\n\nCan't attend in person? Take the Arts, Culture, and Heritage Survey to share additional thoughts! It will be open through June 2026.\n\nYou can read more about the initiative here.\n\n### 🎤🎸New live music venue Downtown wants to hear what you want to hear\n\nA new 600-person capacity music and entertainment venue called the JYNX is planned for Downtown Binghamton by a Binghamton native on the back lot of the former CVS building at 34 Court Street.\n\nThe venue intends to host both locally produced events while also working with promoters to bring in touring acts. The owner also wants to collaborate with established festivals like LUMA and Porchfest. The capacity is comparable to the 700-person Westcott Theater in Syracuse.\n\nAt this stage, the owner is seeking community feedback in a survey as to what types of events and music genres people would like to see hosted, and what you think the venue needs!\n\nYou can fill out the survey here\n\nYou can read more about the proposed venue here in an article from the Press & Sun.\n\nSee more on the proposed site here:\n\n### 🏗️What do you want the Binghamton Plaza riverfront redevelopment to be?\n\nAs nearby Ithaca sees its waterfront explode with development, it looks like Binghamton could be next.\n\nThe City of Binghamton is seeking public feedback on what development could be planned at the soon-to-be former Binghamton Plaza now that the dilapidated riverfront development has officially been taken over by the city which plans for its demolition.\n\nAs next steps are planned, the City of Binghamton has launched a website for public input and will be holding public engagement events in the coming months.\n\nAdd your input to the \"Vision Board\" and see project updates here.\n\n### 🌳🧑‍💻Broome Tech Park seeking public comment\n\nThe Broome Technology Park is a proposed development primarily in the Town of Maine that seeks to add housing and industrial buildings to 500 acres off of Airport Road while keeping the majority of the planned area as natural areas with trails.\n\nThe project has faced scrutiny and pushback from local residents and the Town of Maine government, but Broome County Industrial Development Agency officials argue it will spur the local economy and grow modern jobs.\n\n**Public comment on the proposal can be sent via email to****techpark@theagency-ny.com****until May 8.**\n\nYou can read more about the project on its website here.\n\n### ⛈️Broome County making resiliency plans\n\nBroome County’s Department of Planning and Economic Development is developing a Countywide Resiliency Plan (CRP) with hopes of strengthening the County’s durability and adaptability to a changing climate and an increased frequency of natural disasters.\n\nYou can contribute to the plan's vision statement here and you can read more about the plan here.\n\nA survey to identify key concerns can be found here.\n\nMore opportunities for community engagement are planned in the future.\n\n* * *\n\n## **🎠🙏Thank you for reading!**\n\n_❗Have an idea for the newsletter?
