First, a quick announcement: Weekly5 will take a hiatus until the end of May. However, there’ll still be some music coming your way, so you might still wanna check your inbox regularly.

Today’s collection embraces upward-spiralling sounds, growing bolder and louder before eventually collapsing into soothing, sparse compositions.

Nancy and the Jam Fancys – Higher Than Usual

Born out of boredom during the Covid-19 pandemic, named after two pigs—Nancy and Jam Fancy—with which singer Lewis Griffin apparently shared an acid trip. It all points towards the uncompromising, hedonistic rattling the band demonstrates in Higher Than Usual. Exquisite high-octane punkish garage rock hailing from Down Under.

Nancy and the Jam Fancys play live in Switzerland: 29.8. at Butcher Street Pub, Aarau and 30.8. at Sedel, Lucerne.

Opus Kink – Come Over, Do Me Wrong

With Come Over, Do Me Wrong , the Brighton's post-punkish sextet Opus Kink announce their anticipated debut album. Sluggishly chugging along brass-filled, almost jazzy escapades, Come Over, Do Me Wrong feels simultaneously threatening and undeniably cool; a composition that seductively winds its poetry around your body and soul like a creepy snake.
