Wake up to loud, wild songs. Then relax with gentle folk and pompous pop. Our recommendations for this week bring you both to your Sunday coffee: socially critical messages and sweet introspection.

Farveblind & K.Flay – Things

Things bluntly expresses its criticism of consumerism. To this end, the Copenhagen trio Farveblind enlisted the support of American rapper K.Flay, who flows apathetically through the lyrical dystopia, driven by aggressive electro-punk. The track sounds as angry as it is hypnotising, mirroring the unreflective consumption.

Corella – Rewire

With unapologetic urgency, the up-and-coming rock band Corella from Manchester roars into an electrifyingly explosive frenzy on Rewire , crashing loudly against credulity. Rewire is breathlessly fast-paced, hammering steadily, contrasting melodic catchiness with a larger-than-life wall of sound.
