random steam updates

I have puzzled by some updates i get on steam , i have around 100 games in the client and their are some i have not used for around 10 years. So the puzzle is this ..... i have cloud saves on and every so ofter when i launch steam a few of my games get an update that only lasts around 10 seconds and their is never any patch information so i dont know what the short update was
