"textContent": "Vehicles affected: KIA EV9 (2026)\n\nSummary: Issue: \r\nOn certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the instrument cluster display to go blank while driving. As a result, you may not be able to see certain information about the vehicle, including the speedometer, fuel gauge, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), warning lights and malfunction tell-tales. \r\nNote: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster display. For the Sorento model, this recall only affects hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. For the Carnival model, both gas and hybrid models are affected. For the Sportage model, gas, hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models are affected. \r\n\r\nSafety Risk: \r\nWarnings, tell-tales and gauges that don't display could increase the risk of a crash. \r\n\r\nCorrective Actions: \r\nKia will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the instrument cluster software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Kia dealership.",
