"textContent": "Polestar is introducing a new model, the Polestar 4, which slots between the Polestar 2 and the upcoming Polestar 3 SUV. As the company’s fourth model, the Polestar 4 stands out as the most powerful vehicle in the lineup to date.\n\n\n\nPolestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath describes the Polestar 4 as a new type of SUV coupe, designed from scratch to prioritize rear occupant comfort rather than merely modifying an existing SUV. The design of the Polestar 4 features a sedan-like appearance, with similarities to the larger Polestar 3 in the front and design elements reminiscent of the Polestar 2 on the sides. A notable design feature is the absence of a rear window, replaced by a glass roof that extends beyond the rear seats. Drivers will rely on an integrated camera mirror for rear visibility.\n\n\n\nThe Polestar 4 boasts a power output of 544 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. It supports fast charging with up to 200 kW DCFC and 22 kW AC charging. The long-range version includes a 102-kWh battery pack and offers Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability to power external devices. The rear-drive version of the Polestar 4 will deliver 272 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque, with an estimated range of 300 miles on the EPA testing cycle.\n\n\n\nThe vehicle will be equipped with Polestar’s modern safety features and a heads-up display that includes a “Snow Mode,” which changes the display text to yellow for better visibility in snowy conditions. The Polestar 4 will first launch in China, with production based in Hangzhou Bay. North American pricing is expected to start around $60,000, with further details to be announced next year.",
