"textContent": "Kia Corporation held its 2025 EV Day event in Tarragona, Spain, where it introduced three new electric vehicle models: the EV4, PV5, and Concept EV2. These models are part of Kia’s ongoing electrification strategy and expansion into the global electric vehicle market.\n\n\n\nThe Kia PV5, a dedicated model from Kia’s Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) initiative, was featured prominently. This vehicle was first introduced as a concept during the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. It is built on a modular platform designed for flexibility and can be configured for various commercial and personal uses. At the event, Kia showcased four variants of the PV5: Cargo, Passenger, Wheelchair Access Vehicle (WAV), and Crew. The Crew version is a flagship conversion model developed in-house by Kia.\n\n\n\nThe EV4, first shown as a concept during Kia’s 2023 EV Day in Seoul, was presented in both four-door sedan and five-door hatchback forms. It marks Kia’s first electrified entry into the sedan and hatchback segments. The vehicle is intended to broaden Kia’s presence in the C-segment electric vehicle category.\n\n\n\nThe Concept EV2 represents a preview of a forthcoming B-segment electric SUV. It is positioned as an accessible addition to Kia’s electric model lineup.\n\n\n\nIn total, nine vehicles were displayed at the event. Kia also exhibited its PBV-focused E-GMP.S (Electric-Global Modular Platform for Service) platform, which supports modular body configurations. The event introduced Kia AddGear, a customization service that allows buyers to select various accessories for PBV models to enhance functionality.\n\n\n\nA partnership with Samsung Electronics was also presented. The collaboration includes SmartThings Pro, an Internet of Things platform that enables connectivity and service integration for PBVs.\n\n\n\nThe 2025 Kia EV Day is the brand’s second such event. Spain was selected as the host country due to its growing role in the European electric vehicle market.",
