These sites collectively add over 884,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehousing space to Lucid’s Arizona operations. The facilities are equipped with development and testing infrastructure, including battery testing chambers, machining tools, and a chassis dynamometer.\n\n\n\nLucid also stated its intention to offer jobs to over 300 former Nikola employees in technical and operational roles, including manufacturing engineering, software, assembly, testing, and warehouse support at its Arizona facilities.\n\n\n\nThe acquisition follows the conclusion of Nikola’s bankruptcy auction, which occurred on April 10, 2025, as part of the company’s Chapter 11 proceedings.\n\n\n\nStatements from Lucid’s interim CEO, Marc Winterhoff, and Arizona government officials expressed support for the acquisition, citing benefits to the local workforce and regional manufacturing growth.\n\n\n\nLucid continues to produce electric vehicles at its vertically integrated factory in Arizona and is preparing to scale production of the Lucid Gravity and future midsize platform vehicles.",
