"textContent": "Chevrolet has announced the addition of the Trail Boss trim to its 2026 Silverado EV lineup. This trim, which has previously appeared on the internal combustion versions of the Silverado and Colorado, will be available starting in summer 2025. It brings the Trail Boss’ established off-road capabilities to the electric version of the Silverado.\n\n\n\nThe Silverado EV Trail Boss includes a 2-inch lift, resulting in a 24% increase in ground clearance compared to the base model. It features a coil suspension with a hydraulic rebound control system. A low-speed Terrain mode provides enhanced control and uses sharper 4-Wheel Steer functionality for improved handling on uneven terrain. Other drive modes available include Off-Road and Sidewinder, the latter allowing all four wheels to turn in the same direction to enable diagonal movement.\n\n\n\nPerformance specifications include a maximum towing capacity of 12,500 pounds and a payload rating of 2,100 pounds when equipped with the extended range battery. The Max Range battery pack offers up to 725 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque.\n\n\n\nVisual changes specific to the Trail Boss trim include a redesigned front fascia, 35-inch all-terrain tires on 18-inch wheels, red front tow hooks, unique exterior badging, and an exclusive interior treatment. Auxiliary switches are included for aftermarket accessories. Three new exterior colors are available: White Sands, Polar White Tricoat, and Magnus Gray Matte Metallic.\n\n\n\nDriver assistance technology for the Silverado EV has been updated. Super Cruise now includes Google Maps lane guidance and hands-on functionality that keeps the vehicle centered and maintains adaptive speed. When conditions allow, hands-free driving automatically engages. Super Cruise with towing is offered on both the LT and Trail Boss trims. Adaptive cruise control now offers an option to match speed to posted speed limits.\n\n\n\nThe Silverado EV lineup now includes three trims: Work Truck, LT, and Trail Boss. The launch trim RST will be phased out. All trims come with features like up to 10.2kW of off-board power and the Multi-Flex Midgate on LT and Trail Boss. The base Work Truck trim now includes a 17.7-inch center infotainment screen and an 11-inch driver information screen.\n\n\n\nPricing for the 2026 Silverado EV starts at $54,895 for the Work Truck with the standard battery and goes up to $91,295 for the LT trim with the Max battery pack. The Trail Boss starts at $72,095 with the extended range battery and $88,695 with the Max battery. The vehicle is built at GM’s Factory ZERO in Detroit-Hamtramck, Michigan, using a mix of domestic and global parts.\n\n\n\n\n\t\t\t\n\tTrail Boss badge details on the 2026 Silverado EV in Habanero Orange.Rear 3/4 view of the 2026 Silverado EV Trail Boss in Habanero Orange driving off-road.Dirt bikes in the bed of the 2026 Silverado EV in Habanero Orange, demonstrating the length of the bed with the Midgate down.Side view of the 2026 Silverado EV Trail Boss in Habanero Orange driving off-road.Rear 3/4 view of the 2026 Silverado EV Trail Boss in Habanero Orange, showcasing the open Midgate pass through.Front 3/4 view of the 2026 Silverado EV Trail Boss in Habanero Orange driving off-road.",
