"textContent": "Polestar announced that it will be the first automaker to integrate Google Maps’ new live lane guidance feature into a production vehicle. The system will debut in the Polestar 4 and will be displayed on the vehicle’s 10.2-inch driver display.\n\n\n\nThe new feature uses Google’s artificial intelligence to determine the lane position of the car by analyzing data from one of the Polestar 4’s forward-facing cameras. The system evaluates lane markings and road signs to assist drivers during highway navigation. Live lane guidance provides both visual and audio prompts that indicate which lane a driver should be in to stay on the selected route.\n\n\n\nPolestar integrates Google Maps’ live lane guidance. According to Sid Odedra, Polestar’s head of UI/UX, the collaboration with Google has produced several new features over the past five years, and this update continues that focus on improving driver usability and safety.\n\n\n\nThe feature will first be available to Polestar 4 owners in the United States and Sweden, with availability in other regions planned for a later date. The rollout will occur through an over-the-air software update. The company said that this addition supports its ongoing effort to enhance vehicle functionality through continuous software improvements.\n\n\n\nAndrew Foster, Google Maps’ director of product management, said the live lane guidance integration builds on the companies’ collaboration that began in 2020 with the Polestar 2, which was the first vehicle to feature Google built-in. Foster said the new implementation represents an advancement in navigation technology intended to improve driver confidence.",
