Carney moves to fast-track federal approval for major projects — from pipelines to power lines

A discussion paper released last Friday describes the proposed changes, which would expand ministerial powers and make it easier to obtain permits and approvals under multiple federal laws. Provinces, territories, Indigenous Peoples and the public now have 30 days to submit comments on the proposed legislative changes.
