Nunavik Housing Bureau estimates the region is short about 1,000 homes, with well over half of households overcrowded. The tiny home project by the Toronto startup Tinybox Systems could be part of the solution for the region, which Johnson describes as a huge, sparsely populated area the size of California with 14,000 Inuit residents spread across 14 communities.
