Divided board drops coverage for GLP-1 drugs for public workers

State health plan overseers voted Thursday to eliminate coverage for GLP-1 drugs for obesity, capping off months of torn decision-making over how to tamp down surging health care costs while maintaining care access for members. Some members taking GLP-1 drugs to treat other conditions, like diabetes, would not be affected.
