Rural areas brace for Medicaid cuts, but also influx of temporary funding

The One Big Beautiful Bill that President Trump signed into law last summer makes major cuts to Medicaid. According to a health policy research non-profit, rural areas are expected to lose around $140 billion. But the law also will send states $50 billion over 5 years to transform rural health.
